Welcome to The Blue Frame Atelier. These Terms set out the understanding between us when you visit our website and bring one of our hand-painted pieces into your home. We have written them as plainly as we can, so that your relationship with the Atelier begins — and continues — in clarity and confidence.
Effective year: 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of [STORE URL] and your purchase of products from The Blue Frame Atelier, a brand operated by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME], [ENTITY TYPE], with its registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”, “our”, the “Atelier”). By using our website or placing an order, you (“you”, the “customer”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, we kindly ask that you refrain from using the website.
1. A few definitions
- “Website” — [STORE URL] and all associated pages and sub-domains.
- “Products” — the hand-painted home décor, stationery, gifting, textile, and lifestyle pieces we offer.
- “Order” — your offer to purchase Products through the Website.
- “Content” — all text, artwork, designs, photographs, and other material on the Website.
2. Who may order
To place an order, you must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By transacting with us, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the details you provide are true, current, and complete. Those under 18 are welcome to explore the Website under the guidance of a parent or guardian.
3. The nature of a handcrafted piece
Each of our Products is hand-painted and made in small batches by artisans. Gentle variations in colour, brushwork, texture, and finish are the signature of work made by hand — they are what make your piece singular, and they are not defects. Screens and displays may also render colours a little differently from life. We describe and photograph every piece with care, but we cannot warrant that colours or descriptions are entirely free from variation.
Please note. Because personalised and made-to-order pieces are created uniquely for you, they are prepared especially upon your instruction. Please see our Returns & Exchanges Policy for how this affects returns.
4. Prices and product information
- All prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹) and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). Any shipping charge is shown separately at checkout.
- We may revise prices, descriptions, and availability at any time without prior notice.
- Should an obvious pricing or typographical error occur, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order — even once confirmed — and to refund any amount paid. We will always tell you before cancelling on this ground.
5. How an order is formed
Placing an order is your offer to purchase, subject to acceptance and availability. The confirmation email you receive acknowledges that we have received your order; it does not yet constitute acceptance. A binding contract is formed only when we dispatch your Products (or confirm their dispatch). We may accept or decline any order, in whole or in part — for instance where an item is unavailable, where we suspect fraud or misuse, or where an order breaches these Terms.
6. Payment
Accepted methods and payment terms are handled at checkout through secure, third-party payment gateways. We do not store your full card or banking credentials. Your order will be prepared once payment is confirmed.
7. Delivery, returns, and cancellation
Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy — including international orders, for which customs duties and import charges are borne by the customer. Returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns & Exchanges Policy, and refunds by our Refund Policy. Each of these forms part of these Terms.
8. Our intellectual property
All Content on the Website — our original artwork, hand-painted designs, patterns and motifs, collection names, photographs, the “The Blue Frame Atelier” name and logo, and the overall look and feel — is owned by or licensed to us and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, the Designs Act, 2000, and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, reproduce as merchandise, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Content without our prior written consent. Our full Intellectual Property Policy sets this out in detail.
9. Using the Website
We ask that you use the Website with the same respect we bring to our craft. You agree not to:
- Use the Website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorised purpose;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Website, its servers, or networks;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its systems;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or any content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable;
- Scrape, harvest, or misuse content or data from the Website.
We may suspend or withdraw access where these Terms are breached.
10. Reviews and content you share
Should you share a review, image, or other content with us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display it in connection with the Atelier. You confirm that the content is yours to share and that it infringes no one’s rights. We may moderate, edit, or remove shared content at our discretion.
11. Links to other websites
The Website may link to third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and any visit to them is at your own risk.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Website and Products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without limiting your statutory rights as a consumer:
- We disclaim all warranties not expressly set out in these Terms;
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or loss of profit, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of the Website or Products;
- Our total liability in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME], its owners, employees, and partners, from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Matters beyond our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including acts of nature, natural disasters, pandemics, government action, strikes, courier failures, or power and internet outages.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the dispute-resolution clause below, the courts at Gurugram shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
16. Resolving a dispute
Should any concern arise, we ask that you first write to our Grievance Officer so that we may resolve it amicably. If it remains unresolved after 30 days, the dispute may be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated at Gurugram and conducted in English. This clause does not affect your right to approach the consumer forums available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
17. Grievance Officer (IT Act, 2000)
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules thereunder:
Grievance Officer: Akanksha Sharma

18. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms take effect once posted on the Website, and your continued use signifies acceptance. We invite you to review them periodically.
19. Severability and waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our not enforcing a right on one occasion does not waive it for the future.
