Daily care

Let your scarf rest between wears so the fibres can recover their shape. Apply perfume, hairspray and lotions first and let them dry fully before tying it on. Alcohol and oils are the quickest way to dull printed colour.

Cleaning

• Dry cleaning is the safest choice for printed silk.
• If hand-washing, use cold water and a mild, non-alkaline detergent.
• Swirl gently for a moment, never rub, wring or twist.
• Press the water out between two soft towels, then dry flat or hang in the shade.
• Iron on low, on the reverse, through a thin cloth, never directly over the painted areas.

Storage

Store loosely folded or rolled in a breathable cotton pouch, away from damp and direct light. Never seal silk in plastic, it needs to breathe.

Longevity

Rotate between a few favourites rather than wearing one constantly, and keep it out of long spells of direct sun. Treated gently, the colours stay vivid for many years.

Things to avoid Rubbing, wringing, bleach, machine washing and prolonged sun, which fade the printed colours; and sealed plastic storage, which traps moisture.

Daily care

Plump and reshape your cushions regularly to keep them full and even. Turn them occasionally so light and wear fall evenly across the print and trims.

Cleaning

• Always unzip and remove the insert before cleaning the cover.
• Dry cleaning gives the best results; or hand-wash the cover in cold water with a mild detergent, turned inside out.
• Wash separately to protect the print, embroidery and any pom-pom or tassel trims.
• Dry flat in the shade, reshape while damp, and iron on the reverse on low heat.

Storage

Keep spare covers folded flat in a drawer, away from damp. If storing seasonally, use a breathable cotton bag rather than plastic, and avoid heavy items resting on top.

Longevity

Fluff after use, spot-clean spills promptly, and keep cushions off sun-baked windowsills. A little attention keeps the shape and the artwork looking new for years.

Things to avoid Soaking, scrubbing, tumble drying and harsh detergents, which shrink fabric and dull the print and embroidery; and washing the cover with the insert inside.

Daily care

Made to be used and loved every day. Let hot pieces cool before washing, and reserve painted surfaces for serving and presentation rather than cutting.

• Hand-wash with a soft sponge, lukewarm water and mild dish soap.
• Unless a piece is marked otherwise, keep it out of the dishwasher and microwave to protect the printed and gold detail.
• Dry with a soft cloth rather than leaving pieces to sit wet.

Storage

Stack with a soft cloth or felt pad between pieces to protect glazes and gilding. Store where pieces are not knocking against harder crockery.

Longevity

Sudden temperature changes are the main cause of fine cracks, so let pieces come to room temperature before washing. Gentle hand care keeps the glaze glossy and the artwork crisp for a lifetime of mornings.

Things to avoid Abrasive scourers, scouring powder, microwaving metallic or gold detailing, dishwashers, and sudden changes from hot to cold.

Keep the cork or felt base down to protect your surfaces, and let very hot cups or glasses cool for a moment before setting them on delicate finishes.

• Wipe clean with a soft, barely-damp cloth and dry immediately.
• Blot any spills promptly to protect the surface and prevent staining.
• Never soak, and never put through the dishwasher.

Storage

Store flat and dry in a small stack, ideally with a soft cloth between ceramic pieces to protect the glaze. Keep wooden coasters away from radiators and damp.

Longevity

Drying immediately after wiping is the single best habit, standing moisture is what lifts finishes and warps wood over time. Kept dry, a set stays beautiful for years.

Things to avoid Soaking, dishwashers, abrasive cleaners and stacking while still damp, which can lift the finish or mark the surface.

Handle with clean, dry hands to keep covers and edges crisp. Let ink dry fully before closing a journal to avoid transfer between pages.

Enjoy them on the wall, but choose the spot with care. Away from direct sunlight, damp walls and heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces.

• Dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth.
• Never spray cleaner directly onto or near the print. Mist a cloth lightly instead, and only touch the glass.
• Handle unframed prints by the edges with clean, dry hands, or cotton gloves for treasured pieces.

Storage

Frame behind glass or acid-free mounts to protect from dust and moisture. Store unframed prints flat, between acid-free sheets. Avoid rolling them for long periods.

Longevity

Printed on archival paper, our prints are made to resist fading. But even the finest paper lasts longest out of direct sun and away from damp. Good framing is the best insurance for a lifetime on the wall.

Things to avoid Direct sun, damp walls, adhesive tape on the printed surface, and long storage rolled up, which sets a curl into the paper.

Daily care

Our gift boxes are made to be kept, not discarded. Once the piece inside has found its home, let the box begin a second life holding letters, photographs and small treasures.

• Wipe the exterior gently with a soft, dry cloth.
• Lift any mark with a barely-damp cloth, then dry at once.
• Keep water away from printed lids, ribbons and any gold detailing.
